From now until 27 October you can catch the new 'Untold Lives' exhibit at Kensington Palace. It explores the lives of those who worked at the Palace hundreds of years ago- everyone from cooks to seamstresses, and from pages to courtiers. Because so few objects exist from the lives of everyday folk from that time, in contrast to the royals they worked for, some objects (such as the plates in the photo below right) were specially commissioned to tell their stories, which I think is quite a novel approach. In addition to the exhibit (photos below), you can also tour the permanent collection which includes the rooms where Queen Victoria was born and raised as well as the King's and the Queen's Apartments, where William and Mary relaxed and entertained. The Garden should also not to be missed!
